Development

Working together with our solution partner Sterling Commerce, we have implemented the most comprehensive approach to solution development:

ISPeCS - API Development Approach

Initiate

We build a strong project foundation by concentrating on project fundamentals at the beginning. Our Project Managers are experienced in delivery e-business solutions. First, we create a Project Charter that identifies key stakeholders, the project vision, and the main objectives of the project. Your project's Critical Success Factors are identified, along with the metrics of determining your project's success. Then, we implement a Communications Plan. The communications plan, drafted from the I*SPeCS communications template, outlines the project's e-mail and reporting requirements. An Initial Statement of Work is completed to outline the resources for the next phase, Scope.

Scope

This phase refines the technical requirements and completes overall planning for the project. We conduct an onsite Planning and Design session with your key technical personnel. The result of this session is the Planning and Design Technical Document. This document identifies the specific technical requirements for your Solution implementation. Resource requirements are finalized and a Roles and Responsibilities Matrix completed for the project. An Issues Management Policy is implemented, using I*SPeCS issues request and issues tracking templates. A detailed Project Plan is completed in Microsoft Project and baselined for the project. Once baselined, a Change Management Policy is implemented, drafted from I*SPeCS Change Management Policy plan. The policy includes I*SPeCS Change Management Request templates and a Change Management Request Log that tracks the requests.

Perform

This is where your project is executed based upon the planning documents defined in the Scope phase. We excels in this area by having on-staff E-Business consulting experts in the areas of B2B, EAI, DMI, EDI, e-commerce, Web development, and outsourcing. Our consulting Project Managers make the difference in delivering successful projects. Trained in the Project Management Institutes five phases of project management, we're proud of the number of certified project managers we have on staff. Project Management Certification is another advantage we bring to your project.

Control

Projects have changes. Things happen. It's a fact of life. Managing these issues and changes during the performance of a project determine the ultimate the success of the project. I*SPeCS controls a project through regular reporting, issues management and change management. Weekly project updates are sent to all project stakeholders using I*SPeCS Project Reporting template. The project plan detailed using Microsoft Project is updated weekly, with regular milestone reporting. The Change Management Policy implemented in the Scope phase is managed by use of Methods and Procedures, which are customized to each project and agreed to in advance by all parties. This ensures the project is completed on time by controlling "project scope." Issues are tracked and resolved using the Issues Management Policy implemented in the Scope phase.

Summarize

We wrap up your project by ensuring proper handoffs occur between the technical teams, conducting a "lessons learned" meeting and providing you with the opportunity to complete a project evaluation. The Post-Implementation Audit and Gap Analysis: We review the Project Charter and success metrics identified in Initiation to verify we successfully met the project's objectives. The project manager conducts a lessons learned session, where the complete project is reviewed and activities identified that can be improved. Future objectives are noted, along with the tasks and resources required to complete them. The final task is an evaluation of the project.
